Whispers in the Rain

(Unspoken Longings)

Raindrops patter, a gentle tattoo,

On windowpanes, secrets blur askew.

The city lights shimmer, a distant glow,

Reflecting desires the heart won't show.

Hidden whispers mingle with the downpour,

Words unsaid, emotions held in store.

Longing lingers like a forgotten tune,

Echoing memories whispered by the moon.

Hands brush, a fleeting, electric spark,

Yet silence reigns, leaving an aching mark.

Eyes meet, a kaleidoscope of unspoken dreams,

Lost in translation, adrift on unseen streams.

The rain subsides, the world wakes anew,

But the unspoken dance leaves its residue.

A tapestry woven with threads of might-have-beens,

A symphony silent, unheard, unseen.

Yet, hope whispers, on the wind's soft sigh,

That one day, courage will bridge the starry sky.

And beneath a clearer, moonlit dome,

Whispers will find their voice, and find their home.
