Whispers

The whispers that I hear at night

Are like an endless battle

A never ending fight

So many thoughts traveling through my mind

So hard to express due to the words I can’t find

On the outside I always keep a smile

But the pain on the inside goes on for miles and miles

I am strong and yet I feel so weak

Strength is something I constantly seek

I know I can and will make it through

For my past has shown that I always do

There are some days where I am just so tired

But sleep fails to find me

My thoughts keeping me wired

One day I know I will overcome

The pain will be gone

To it I will not succumb

I will survive this thing

And come out stronger than ever

For I have nothing to lose

My motto, “Never say Never”

This piece is not a story about me

It’s about the pain people hide

the things you can not see

So when you look into someone’s beautiful eyes

Know that they hide a story inside.
