Where Would She Go?

Lyric

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished about a month ago 1 min read

(Verse 1)
I look at my keys by the door on the wall
And I  think about leaving and ending it all
But I watch her watching me and I can't find the words to say
Cuz she's got no ambition to try to find her own way

Verse 2
She hasn't done a thing for herself since we met
No job, and no savings, no safety net
I support her completely, I pay every bill
While she’s just content to be perfectly still.

(Chorus)
So I ask myself ... where would she go?
She can’t take care of herself, this much I know
If I walk out that door, she'd have  nowhere to turn
She’d crash from the damage.
She wouldn't learn.
I so want to leave, but I can't let her fall
So I ask the one question that answers it all
Where would she go?
Oh God Where would she go?
Where would she go?

(Verse 3)
My brother reminds me she isn't my wife
He says that I'm foolish and wasting my life
But he doesn't see how she'd be if i was  gone
How she couldn't survive on her own if I moved on
