Where the Roses Hold
Where shadow's fail

Where the Roses Hold
Roses climb where shadows fall,
Soft and fierce against it all,
Petals bloom in burning red,
Over words we never said.
Leather worn and shaped by years,
Carries dust and hidden fears,
Every step a mark remains,
Pressed in dirt and quiet pain.
A hat sits low, it hides the face,
Of someone lost in time and place,
Not running fast, not standing still,
Just bending to a restless will.
Love once lived among these thorns,
Now it lingers, cracked and worn,
Beauty wraps around the ache,
Like a truth we cannot shake.
I walk the line of what was known,
Through the seeds that I have sown,
Every bloom a fragile sign,
Of something broken yet still mine.
even though the path is hard to see,
There is no turning back for me,
I wear the past like second skin,
I let the silence settle in.
I hope that Jesus will guide me.
