Where the Light Learns My Name

It warms and pleases to be know for who I am

Where the Light Learns My Name

Love arrives without knocking at my ribs,

it settles like breath I forgot I held.

Nothing dramatic, no sudden demand,

just warmth learning the shape of my name.

I carry it quietly through ordinary hours,

through cups of tea and unfinished thoughts.

It does not rush me or ask for proof,

it waits beside me, steady and real.

When fear leans close with familiar tricks,

love does not argue or raise its voice.

It stays, a hand resting on time,

reminding me I am already enough.

I look at the world through gentler eyes,

edges still sharp, yet kinder somehow.

Love has not fixed me or changed my past,

it has taught me how to stand inside it.
