Where the Clock Stopped
A Ghazal of Silence and Shadowed Memory

This ghazal paints the intimate stillness that follows absence—a room suspended in time, streets emptied of meaning, and verses heavy with memory. Through delicate imagery and restrained emotion, the poem expresses the echo of love that lingers long after all words have faded.
No message, no glance, no voice remains—
Only this long shadow, stretching through pain.
Just me and this leafless, mirrorless street,
And the sweetest memories I cannot defeat.
You left, and still the wall clock stands still—
Stopped at the moment you vanished at will.
My poems still carry your lingering scent,
Each line hides a secret, each verse an event.
Perhaps this is love: always ending in flame,
You in silence, and I—still whispering your name.
