Where Love Transcends Law
an abcderian poem
A land where love and self nestle,
Beyond the binary, we seek our soil fertile-
Crescent moons wax poetic, wrestle with
Death. To be or not to be? That is the question.
*
Each identity hangs in the balance, the scales tipped to the right,
Fighting for their birthright with no arms, only alms
Given to the poor of thought, impoverished minds.
Holding our ground to release the ties that bind.
*
Injustice faced, yet steadfastly stood,
Journeys unkown, we trek towards better days.
Knowledge blooms, where once ignorance could.
Love's many forms, expressions understood.
*
Movements against suppression in radiant defiance,
Not just stories, but lives, these truths we hold in alliance.
*
Oppression of bodies, control untold,
Pushing back, our narratives unfold.
Queer identities, diverse and manifold,
Rights for our bodies refuse control.
*
Sexuality, selfhood, our spectrum embraced,
Together we grow,
Unwavering in our quest to be free.
Vast is our love that directs our destiny.
*
With hope, we dismantle adversity,
Xenial lands where we live authentically.
Yes, to the future, where love transcends law,
Zealous for a world's new dawn.
