i lost myself

trying to find you

and now i wander

the streets

looking for your face

i do not want to see.

i sleep with my lenses

so my eyes burn

in the morning

and walk in a haze

so that every step

fades.

there is no room

left for you

in a world

where every day

is a war

so i make war

to forget you.

i fought for you

until my heart

gave out

and now i lie

empty

on the ground

waiting for you

to save me

but you will

never come.
