🌧️ When You Remember Me

A Song of Rain and Remembrance

By Shazzed Hossain ShajalPublished 12 months ago • 1 min read
Reaching for memories through the rain

If ever I cross your mind someday,

Lose yourself in poems, let words softly play.

But promise me this, oh tender heart’s tone—

Let no tears gather in your eyes alone.

When evening falls, and silence deep,

Think of yourself before you sleep.

If in your dreams a river flows free,

Know that I come—your dream’s own sea.

When monsoon evenings turn astray,

And restless winds begin to sway,

Know I am there, in rain’s embrace,

Wrapped around your wistful face.

If ever you remember me once more,

Read the poems we wove before.

But keep your eyes from sorrow’s well—

Let no tear fall, no sadness dwell.

Open the window—look at the skies,

Let deep breaths in your chest arise.

Moments of dream will bloom anew,

Love will whisper its hush to you.

Send all your pain on exile’s road,

Let joy again be your heart’s abode.

If ever you remember me, softly so—

Dwell in poems, and let no tears flow.
