“When the Stars Spell Your Name”

“A poem of love, loss, and the eternal whispers of the night sky.”

By Mohib Ullah Published about a year ago • 1 min read
Sometimes, absence feels louder than presence. The night sky holds echoes of the people we’ve lost, whispering their names in starlight and silence. This poem is a reflection on love, memory, and the way someone never truly leaves us—they simply become part of the universe we carry within.

In the silent room of the night,

I listened to the sky.

The stars were speaking in silver languages,

Each word was a piece of forgotten light.

The moon poured his sorrow on the sea,

And bring the waves back to the edge.

I missed you -

That your absence is a wave

Which never stops returning.

Your memory wanders like smoke,

Slip my grip,

Still in the empty gum of my chest

Like an incomplete song.

If love was a chandelier,

So I raise it on top of the storm,

Its lover trembling,

But refuses to quench.

And maybe, someday,

When the silence comes from itself,

The stars will again write your name,

And I will know -

You never gone,

You just have become part of the sky.
