I Couldn't Resist

When Temptation Rose

She was sitting by a window,

Her hair was beautiful,

The colour of a golden sunset

on a beach.

Her eyes were like the summer sky,

Dancing towards me like Sapphire,

Sparkling in the sun.

Her lips were soft,

Like the petals on a rose.

She walked over to me,

Smiling sweetly,

Luring me in with her beautiful

peach cheeks.

I could smell her scent,

Sweet, warm candy with notes

of warm caramel.

She leaned over me;

That was when temptation rose,

I stared at her deeply,

Then I cupped her chin gently

in my hands.

Finally,

I kissed her like no tomorrow;

I could not resist.
