When shorty is a giant

She’s a giant with five stomping feet and she’s looking at me.

I turn to stone, I’m scared as can be

She’s got those five feet and she’s got some inches too

Five foot three, or maybe… five two?

For all I can tell she’s five-four or maybe five-more

But she can’t measure one inch past five-foot-short

A five-something giant, I would love to meet her eye

In order to do so, I must learn how to fly

But who am I to soar when I have belonged

For so long

On the floor?

If I could:

I would some how break all of nature’s own laws

And dance with the woman who defeats all her flaws

But I’d have to stand taller than I’ve ever stood

Cuz it cant be enough to simply be “good”

She’s confident and smooth and she is so wicked-

Smart

Shorty’s got big swagger and she’s yanking my heart

I know it’s not polite to stare

So I must say ‘hi’ … but that doesn’t seem fair!

Still

I call her name, or at least I give it a try

But my voice cracks and oops! now I’m dying inside

Every time I speak all I can do is squeak

Trying to mack on the real deal turned me into a geek

To top it all off lil’ giant’s actually too kind

That’s it!

I’m gonna give her a piece of my mind!

I muster my courage, all tall and abrupt

I say “M-m-m! Ma’am, listen up!”

I lean on my cane like an 85 year old child

And I’m internally aware that to even approach her is wild

But I’m already here at the edge of the cliff

— shit!

One bad step and I’ll really biff it

I blush and stammer and say “Now you listen here!”

But I’m miles and miles away from her ear

And then

Somehow, the convo is over I’ve limped on through

I got her digits now what do I do???
