And They Say History Repeats Itself

They say history repeats itself,

but where are the groups?

I see no ashes in the air;

no fires on the ground;

no light is at the end of the tunnel;

I see no proof.

They say history repeats itself,

so why can't we sing?

Why can't we raise our voices;

why can't we dream?

They keep saying history wil repeat itself,

like Present, Past, and Future;

They say we will live again;

they say we'll have peace;

so if history repeats itself,

where is the love?

Where is the healing;

we only have grief.

And they say history repeats itself,

so now we must leave;

It's time for a change.

It's time to believe.
