When I Grow Up

Poem

You can be the Joker, I can be Harley.

I’d love to eat your heart out, and will never be sorry.

Looking for a pulse, but I’d rather find a heart-beat.

You look a bit like Ken, I guess I’ll look like Barbie.

When I grow up, I just wanna be your Baby.

Yes, no, maybe.

Be my Tramp, I’ll be your Lady.

When I grow up, I wish to be your victim.

Call you my addiction.

Just leave you in my system.

When I grow up, I want to be with you.

Cupid’s arrow shoots.

Walk into oblivion, then I will follow suit.

And if you ever died, I’d want to die too.

Will you be my Romeo, and hold me like I’m Juliet.

Yes, I’d have a crush on you if I weren’t out of school yet.

Gotta find my happy place, a good time’s just a cruel threat.

Drama doused in gasoline, not running out of fuel yet.

When I grow up, you will be my only.

Hold you closely.

I’ll make love to you slowly.

When I grow up, you'll be my redemption.

No exception.

Possess REAL love, not just another lesson.

When I grow up, I just want to be with you.

You’re Thing 1, I’m Thing 2.

Something loose inside my brain, it’s probably screws.

It’s okay to cry because I’ll likely cry too.

When I grow up, I'll always love you!
