What was left unsaid

A letter to you

Hello You,

Oh, I know we have been blue,

Sitting in the grass until morning's dew.

I remember your softest smile,

even though it has been quite a while.

Talking about the dead,

crying out lots of unpleasant dread.

Expressing our genuine love for creation,

I loved everything about our conversation.

Your clarity left me in awe,

gazing at you, sipping my beer with a straw.

I think we were really meant to be,

yet, we have never met again to see.

So, the things that were left unsaid,

hopefully reached your heart instead.

What's left is to keep wondering,

if it's me who leaves your mind pondering.

Believing in a reason for all,

I will be waiting for your call.

With Love, The One with the Flowers

Those brief encounters which linger in our memories so tantalizingly, teasing us with all their possibilities & desires, leaving us hoping & waiting though we know we left no clue. Please tell me, Centina, that you left a clue--a first name, number, your favorite hangouts, or at least that you continue to return to the scene of the encounter from time to time to sip your beer once more through your straw. Please, please, please..., you have us longing with you now, wondering. In other words, well done!
