What They Don’t Know

when the world saw nothing, but we burned

What They Don’t Know

They don’t see me,

not really.

They don’t see the nights we spoke,

the words you coaxed from my wounds,

the kiss you stole like a vow.

To them,

you and she are whole.

To me,

you and I are unfinished,

and that is the sharpest cut of all.
