pray tell.

Ah, the background music
is so important
the composers
told stories with the music
so the audience could
follow what was happening
on stage
minor chords and notes
for the sad parts
and crescendo for
an impending
"uh oh" moment
so that the audience
gets prepared
and then
while they're tightly
gripping their seats
everything de-escalates
and the major chords
come skipping in like
little rays of sunshine
to save the day
with flowery optimism
for a happy ending
so everybody can relax
I wonder what
my background music
would be?
I have a feeling
that some of the themes
would overlap
and the audience
would spend a lot of time
gripping their seats
unexpectedly
partly because sometimes
minor notes and chords
get thrown
into the mix
without warning.
my bad.
