What if we reincarnated into the intangible?

A poem about wanting to be something else

She dreams of reincarnating into a butterfly and he dreams to be a lion in his next life.

But if I were to see this world again, I would want to be the idea of love. The warm feeling in the stomach when you remember the good times. The blocking force in the throat when you confess. I want to reincarnate into the thought that everything will be alright. I want to be the spirit of drunk laughter and the wind in the face of a dancing lover. You know, the feeling of nostalgia towards the times you never lived and deja-vu that catches you off guard. I want to be the first words of a child and the last family goodbyes. I want to be the idea of missing someone, the idea that somewhere out there our past still is. How beautiful would it really be to reincarnate into a feeling, rather than a touch.
