What Grief Does

Grief tears the heart open like a sharp knife.

Clean cut.

But blood doesn’t ooze.

It’s the rivers of God that are free now melting into the oceanic love that resides there. Sadness slowly turns to inspiration when his light merged with mine.

As I feel the sunlight on my face, I felt his presence.

He is still here–how he serves has simply changed.

I see you shining your light.
