What does falling in love really feels like?

To fall in love feels like listening to an old favourite song you've forgotten about. You smile in appreciation and bask in the feeling the song used to give you. That is what falling in love feels like.

Falling in love feels like the warm, morning sun on your face after a cold night. You are grateful for the sun, because you dreaded the cold. You know you'll have a pleasant day ahead. That is what falling in love feels like.

Falling in love feels like watching your favourite movie again. You remember the first time you saw it and you think about how you can't wait to see it again. The eagerness, the familiarity and comfort it gives you, that is what falling in love feels like.

Falling in love feels like your favourite lines in your favourite book. You've memorized each of them and you remember, you imagine you reading them to your lover. You wish you were the books protagonist. That is what falling in love feels like.

Falling in love feels like you are high. You are always smiling, happy, a permanent euphoric state. You never want to come down from the high. It's like a drug, an hallucinogenic. You see life as beautiful and happy. That is what falling in love feels like.

Falling in love is like eating a slice of cake or your favourite food. The first bite you take is so blissful you moan in delight. You enjoy it so much you want more of it. That is what falling in love feels like.

Falling in love is when you dance little dances of joy, unconciously. It's when you hum tunes you don't even think exists. You just sing, you sing happy songs that make you smile. You want to tell the world about how you feel, how your lover makes you feel but you think you might be doing too much. That is what falling in love feels like.

Falling in love feels like sadness. When you miss someone. Or the constant fear that your love might not last. Or the heartbreak you get when things end. Falling in love can feel sad.

It can be bitter. That is what falling in love feels like.

Falling in love is the moment you know you can't do without someone. They make you happy and complete you. You feel sane around them. Falling in love feels like peace.

Falling in love feels like happiness. It feels like joy. It feels like you can do anything in the world. Falling in love is beautiful.
