What do they do? Live.

Day in and day out

with no fear and no doubt

we watch these little figures dance

in the TV they live and they prance

Your face begs to question

My hand holds firm in response

Is this something your people do?

My Alien friend is at a loss

The investment is real, it borders idolatry

People will clad themselves in their favorite property

Things bought, money spent, Goods earned

And despite all the investment not a single thing could be learned

People fight, People argue, they bicker and quarrel

All in response to a scene with a squirrel

You'll ask you friend to give it a whirl

All to garter delight from a scene that makes their faces swirl

What do you gain from such an activity

One where fights are such a proclivity

We sacrifice for joy, momentary and fleet

we sacrifice to feel something even when all is bleak

For all of the good and all of the bad

All of the angry and all of the sad

this is another communal experience

Similar to songs, stories, and dance

us it captures

us it enraptures

So please I would be if you gave it a glance

How elated I'd be if you allowed it a chance.
