What, Did, I, Tell, You

What, did I tell you?

Did I spill the beans?

Did I reveal that all is not as it seems?

My tongue is loose

I’m over the quaint humility

Staying quiet and polite was never of my ability

What did I tell you?

I can’t recall

All I know is I know it all

Now I’m flying,

never afraid to fall

My words are sure, a sounding call

You thought I was

but meek and mild

I have information that would drive you wild

She’s unwed, broke,

And now with child

Is my breaking of trust even worth your while?

And maybe tomorrow I’ll regret

drinking so much booze

but even if you tell, who will believe you?

I soar, you tumble

You’re black and blue

See, what did I tell you?
