What Comfort Means To Me

Submission #3

Before the veil of moment's light,

My form wades free in life's calm flow.

In those times, no tension trumpets,

Nor worry shades a wearied mind;

I am the element of my realm,

No host or slave to matters beyond;

My life is only one; one among the others.

I watch as you are who you are,

And love and hurt for you;

I rejoice in your laughter and steep in your sorrow;

I explore the emotions as you dwell in my mind;

I wish for all, although I am weak.

I wish for you;

I yearn for you.

My comfort: is you.
