It rises like the moon

On the howls of a hound

Lighting the night sky like a fuse

Crickets singing out loud

Hints of chill in the air

Collecting smiles like tickets

To a seasonal fair

Through gates to magical moments

Welcome To October

Let it take you for a ride

Come on in and discover

Leave your worries behind

All roads lead to October

Through the cornfields and weeds

To the edge of forever

Into a field of dreams
