Weather Sensitivity
Questions in the clouds of mind
Why are some of us so sensitive to the weather?
Do the dark clouds remind us of the cruelty of humanity?
Does the heavy rain make us feel oppressed?
Does light rain make us feel romantic?
Do the storms remind us of fearful memories?
Or, do the storms remind us of reading the Hardy Boy books by candlelight?
Does the sun bring us joyful delight?
Or does the sun bring us cancerous fright?
Does a sunrise bring new hope?
Does a sunset help us breathe and cope?
Do round clouds bring us energy?
Do wispy clouds leave us surreal?
Do rainbows remind us of promises?
Or, do they remind us of something else?

I never watch the weather channel,
but my body, mind, and heart sure responds to the weather channel within.
I’ll never be a storm chaser,
for the storm prefers to chase me!

I love the contrast between how weather can be seen in positive or negatives, and this flows so well.
Very interesting, enjoyable poem. "Or, do the storms remind us of reading the Hardy Boy books by candlelight?" Loved the Hardy Boys when growing up... and we frequently had power outages during cyclones etc. Well done.
I’m going to have to revisit light rain now… but the weather is very effective at affecting.
