it fills the lung
it mars the flesh
a painful kiss
the touch of doom
ground to dust
sands of bone
among the dead, we roam
darkness comes in a cloud of crows
the earth is fertilized by decay
the ocean swallows every soul
for us to live, we must fear death
but it's just a dramatic ending
this life could be just one chapter
you might even like what happens next
so don't be afraid to turn the page
if you immerse yourself in life
you can just enjoy the story
when you reach the final curtain
you can be happy with what you learned from the performance
and during your next go around
you will be wiser for it
