We're Not In Kansas Anymore

A love story

I feel like Dorothy

Between Kansas and Oz

Stuck in a tornado

Whirling without pause

I feel safe here

Within the wind

Knowing my adventure

Is about to begin

I am not holding back

But reaching for the sky

Grabbing for the rainbow

Aiming so very high

I know Oz is out there

I read so in books

I just want to see so

And have one look

When this wind came along

I jumped in

Hoping it would take me

Along within

Now I am floating

Through the sky

Floating toward Oz

Way up so high

I want to ensure

This isn't a dream

And I won't wake up

Where everything will seem

So bland and empty

Hollow and bare

Like the Kansas I left

Before I cared
