Maybe we should turn this round, Change our ignorance
We Make Jesus Weep By Our Actions
Children cry in broken houses
Families sleep beneath despair
While greed keeps building golden kingdoms
Without a single prayer or care
People preach about forgiveness
Then spread hatred through the land
Judging souls they barely know
With cruelty resting in their hands
We make Jesus weep by our actions
Through every lie and selfish deed
Turning faith into division
Ignoring those in desperate need
Wars are fought for pride and power
Bodies fall beneath the skies
Still humanity keeps marching
Blind beneath corrupted lies
Some wear crosses round their necks
Still wound others every day
Speaking scripture from their mouths
While their hearts have lost the way
The poor grow poorer through the system
The rich keep feeding off the weak
Still heaven watches every action
Even words we never speak
Maybe love was always simple
Feed the hungry comfort pain
Treat each soul with basic kindness
Help the hopeless rise again
Until we learn compassion fully
And place truth above our pride
We will keep making Jesus weep
Watching goodness slowly die
