Watching Boys Playing In Red Lights

Poem

By Canuck Scriber Lisa LachapellePublished about a year ago • 1 min read

There's no ball left to kick

Just fingers streaming against the wind but voices course through the air

Petals are streaming through the outside making everything clear

Too much pride and not a light to Heaven anywhere

Slicked back deliverance

Holding crosses not farms and singing of friends and ocean blue

Treasonous outcomes are not your fault

Symphonies in balance

The truth ultimately, always comes to dawn

Even with the lights on

Even with the lights on

I can only handle a few ideas at a time or I'm a little dizzy when I talk

Thank you, the untouchable, the unthinkable you

Thank you for the basic necessity of you

Share the limelight, share the dreams but keep the broken parts in between yourselves

Discordance is not jealousy, there's a hint for you. It's the splint of indifference correcting wrongs but not taking a step

Balancing, balancing is like standing with one shoe

Don't crucify me before you dream just because I sensed you all playing in red lights
