Warmth of Home

Dewdrops on trees glisten crystalline

as we wake entangled in shared sheets,

a smile, a laugh, another good morning

milestone. Adrift we drift on currents of time,

warmth of sunlight through the window,

warmth of your hands, arms, lips, body,

touching, rekindling embers, passion

remembered. Our time together savored

as we bask in shared glow, steam

of hot tea & breakfast, silent minutes

filled with soft gazing, holding hands,

enveloping embraces. Birds singing

bright serenades in a thrilling crescendo,

blended music, nature's instruments,

a symphony played exclusively for us,

for joyous you & me. This is my home,

an emotion, expression, unwaveringly

empyreal, a mystical radiance, intensely

tender caress, wrapped around my being

here, with you. Purest notion of our life

together, unbridled laughter, vulnerability

as strength, stars viewed, fears soothed,

wounds healed & left behind, your smile

a sunbeam glimpsed through clouds. Dancing

with me in painted twilight, blurred motion

mirrored, your gestures blooming beautiful

feelings, our hearts beat-beating in rhythm,

synchronized to the harmony of home.
