War of the Rooms

A spoof poem

War of the the rooms

Loomed

Chase of the night

Sighting

Man scooped her up

Abrupt

He raced away

Gray

Faces pierced the nightly dew

Few

Knew that it was changing

Rearranging

It was the end of their world

Swirled

Emotions went racing

Chasing

A new form of existence

Little body clung to his chest

Rest

Escaped, they got out

Shout

Before the shadow pounced

Bounced

Before destruction ensured

Lured

They were all that was left

Bereft

So they imagined

Fashioned

Paths through alleys and streets

Greets

With collisions of shadows

Plateaus

Where the light lifted

Gifted

Battle warriors who forged forward

Sounds like “ 007” and the “ Lord of the Rings” were “ Taken” to the “Apocalypse “ over at the “Chronicles of Narnia”… 😊
