Walking Barefooted
A poem about true humility
We acknowiedge with gratitude that most of us grow up in stable, happy homes, with our parents extolling the virtue of humility reminding us too often to be grateful for what we have. Hence, most of us would respond with polite salutations to relatives, especially those older than ourselves.
So we emerge as adults with the notion that humility is sim\ply acknowledging the experiences of others and trying not to be too big for our own boots.
While this is true, there';s a tad more to this concept. Humility is the olehearted acknowledgement of one''s weaknesses.it is the frank admission of of our mistakes, seeking help when needed, and having an attitude of gratitude, all while having healthy self-esteem.
Going barefoot is typically a sign of humility. Enjoy these vwerses.
To walk
with bare feet
Is to know the
kinks in one's step
To touch the ground
With bare feet
is to know when one
Needs help
To stand
To stand
barefooted
is to love
the ground
one stands on
To walk
with bare feet
embrace them.
