" The more we separate ourselves from the suffering of others, the more isolated we become in our own suffering." - Particle976
Title: "Wake Up"
we are raised to be blind
to other’s suffering
to sleep through
Other’s hardships
as long as it’s not mine pain
they say it’s ok,
it’s ok,
Wake up
We can only see
with open eyes
how we are crurmbling
into ruin
hearts frozen over
that we are forsaken
accepting a one way street
accepting we ate just alone
something simply
a gental smile
shared laughter
a monent to connect
can mend the depths of a broken soul.
let’s be hope
let’s hold up faith
let’s return what’s lost
to those who’ve lost it
let’s be hope
sharing worries
sharing pain
like smoke into fog,
like a voice in a crowd
like tear drops in rain
they make scars embeded on oue soul fade
they become our streanth
to rise up one more time
to walk another step
to make it though another day
stronger together
supporting each other
sharing our plenty
or listening
sharing scars
uniting our voices
to break fate’s design
let’s walk together
make our own way
our own way
a road to a better tomorrow
we are raised to be blind
to other’s suffering
to sleep through
Other’s hardships
as long as it’s not mine pain
they say it’s ok,
it’s ok,
Wake up
We can only see
with open eyes
how we are crurmbling
into ruin
hearts frozen over
that we are forsasaken
accepting a one way street
accepting we ate just alone
something simply
a gental smile
shared laughter
a monent to connect
can mend the depths of a broken soul.
let’s be hope
let’s hold up faith
let’s return what’s lost
to those who’ve lost it
let’s be hope
sharing worries
sharing pain
like smoke into fog,
like a voice in a crowd
like tear drops in rain
they make scars embeded on oue soul fade
they become our streanth
to rise up one more time

to make it though another day

a road to a better tomorrow
The central paradox of this poem comes from a lesson many of us pick up early in life. We are often taught that looking after ourselves first is the path to safety and strenght. As long as the suffering belongs to someone else it becomes easy to look away and keep moving with our own lives.
This poem challenges that idea. It suggests that ignoring the struggles of others does not really protect us. Instead it slowly separates us from one another. The more disconnected we become from the pain around us the more alone we are when hardship eventually finds us. What seems like self preservation can turn into loneliness. What feels like strength can reveal itself as a hidden weakness.
Another paradox appears through the poems focus on small acts of kindness. A smile a shared laugh a listening ear or a brief moment of genuine connection may seem insignificant at first. Yet these simple gestures often reach places that grand solutions never can. They remind people that they are seen valued and not forgotten.
The poem also suggests that healing is rarely something we do entirely on our own. Human beings are social creatures and we often find our greatest resilience through connection. When people share their burdens those burdens become lighter. When they help someone else heal they often discover parts of their own strenght in the process.
At its heart the poem presents a vision of hope built on community rather than isolation. It reminds us that compassion is not a weakness but a source of collective strength. In a world that often celebrates independence above everything else the poem offers a different perspective.
The greatest irony is that true independence may actually be found through mutual support. By standing together we become more capable of standing on our own.
The central message is simple. Human beings are strongest not when they stand apart from one another but when they choose to walk forward together even through the darkest moments.
