Wait

I'm missing you.

By Caitlyn WenzelPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

I wake up for you,

wait up for you.

I paint pictures in my mind

and watch them dry too.

I’m restless and stressed,

It’s nothing new,

but truthfully it hurts…

these things that I do.

I bend for you,

I break for you.

Still slowing down to wait for you.

You don’t notice me

or if you do it’s fleeting.

The messages I keep typing

and then deleting.

Wondering,

“what will he think of me?”

Revolving around,

like a satellite in orbit,

my own time is forfeit.

How much more?

…

It

hurts…

Why am I waiting?

Stalling and deflating?

Freefalling…

in love,

in waiting.
