Vices

A Poem

By Angel AdagioPublished 2 years ago • Updated 2 years ago • 1 min read

Pieces and pieces of ecstasy is a drug,

oxytocin surging through the veins,

only brought on by the pleasure of sins.

Looking for any new fix that can bring on the same zing,

interchanging the vices throughout the week.

The body rejecting it all,

the mind welcoming the warmth like an old friend.

After a while it becomes to used to the feeling,

the need for a new vice for the rotation.

It's like a disease

filling the void with vices life brings

hoping something can outweigh the numbness that has overcome the body.

Repair, replace, restore

the body that once never needed the vices to exist.
