Vampires Guilt

A poem about a dream I had. Two vampires in love that lose all control under the red moon.

5,000 years to the very night

passion in the air.

Arms embraced tight.

A howl to the full moon you hear across the sky.

As two in-love vampires shared a forever-loving kiss, as five bats flew by.

They look up.

As they saw the moon turn red.

Howls and screams filled the darkness as the two vampires fed.

Dread.

Hatred.

Guilt filled the vampire's eyes.

For they had no control as they heard their victim's cries.

One bite.

Two, three, and four.

They one by one ripped open doors.

Doors to cars, doors to stores.

People were frantic,

mantic.

Worried about themselves as they ran down the street with cries for help.

As the dawn grew near

and the moon went down.

The two return to their den.

As they began to become themselves they felt the feeling of panic and sadness.

Not believing what they had just done.

Suddenly they hear the sounds of an alarm.

First, it was low.

Then began to grow.

Louder and louder

anxiety took over.

In a panic, I jumped up and opened my eyes.

Hyperventilating,

confused, and struggling.

What just happened???
