The flood of publications drowned my feed,
one after another like droplets filling a bucket until it overflowed,
so I could see nothing else below.
The beautiful, thought-provoking work of writers I admire here
waterlogged, inaccessible, impossible to see
through the murky spillage above
from just one subscription,
and the clog was never worth it.
That button was a snake
clearing the drain and letting everything flow,
so I'm not knees-deep in mindless sewage anymore,
the moldy ramblings of someone convinced the world should listen
when they have nothing at all to say.
My feed is filled with sunshine, curated
and ready to tell me new stories,
the kind that demand to be told
edited, revised, and thought-through,
exactly what it should have been
now the tide's gone out.
