Unseen Pain
There Isn't a Pill That Will Take It Away

The rise of mental fog
Makes the days hard to log
Exactly the whens
You begin to feel the pins
One big mystery to be solved
One problem resolved
Another becomes visible
Making you seem invisible
You’re on a merry-go-round
Without making a sound
Pained
Drained
Strained
Stained
You wonder what’s the point
Realizing you hurt in all joints
Tired from getting up at night to pee four times in a row
You crawl to the kitchen for a morning cuppa joe
Fourteen bottles of pills
Don’t even fix all of the ills
It’s like they give you a Band-Aid for a fixall
And turn a blind eye to what really causes it all
To them, you’re just another name on the list
When all along, all you want to do is come out of the mist
