Unsaid Things

A Bouquet of Words I Never Speak

Warm and shaking, scared of the light.

They come out in the stillness, like flowers at dusk.

They only open when no one is around.

I take them carefully through every moment.

A hidden bunch was tucked close to my heart.

Some fade before they're ever said aloud,

Some shine like little fires I don't dare reach for.

But in the silence between my beats,

They float up, light and free.

And for a while, I feel complete—

A person made of things left unspoken.

Finally able to breathe.
