Unrequited Love

Love's Painful Sting: When Hearts Yearn But Love's Not Returned

A heart that beats, but not for me,

A love that's felt, but never seen,

My love for you, it's unreturned,

My heart aches, my soul yearns.

I dream of you when I'm alone,

A love that's felt, but never shown,

My heart cries out, but you don't hear,

My love for you, it's crystal clear.

I watch you from afar, in silent awe,

A love that's felt, but it's a flaw,

My heart's desire, it's all for naught,

My love for you, it's all I've got.

I long to hold you close and tight,

A love that's felt, but it's not right,

My heart's in pieces, it's torn apart,

My love for you, it's my work of art.

I know that you don't feel the same,

A love that's felt, but it's a game,

My heart's in pain, but it's okay,

My love for you, it's here to stay.

For even if our love's unrequited,

A love that's felt, but not invited,

My heart will still beat, strong and true,

My love for you, it's forever, through and through.
