They would go limp

    Before they ever

        Raised Paris.

.

I've met a fair few

    Too many swans

.

Where their long necks

    Elongate

        When there was no consent.

.

They believed

    They were the first

        Human titans:

.

Betting on breakups

    To grow muscles,

.

Cheating on Hera

    To become Zeus.

.

Even in my boob size

    Your ribs

        Never made me yield.

.

The golden altars don't care

    About the majestic wings

        Of a swan.

.

Toy stores are bare

    And the schools

        Are shutting down.

.

Apollo's curse

    Didn't work—

.

He is the one

    Shouting

        Into a canyon.

.

He doesn't know

    The difference

        Between white and gold.

.

He blows the trumps

    In the cabinet,

.

Then lies

    About his politics,

.

Hiding behind

    A shroud

        That was already unravelling.

.

But I am wet

    Like water,

.

And I flow

    Down Olympus—

.

Washing

    The kind of man

        Who lets man teach them

            How to love a woman.

.

You turned away

    To build an island

.

And found

    Nothing there

        But frost.

.

You wedded yourself,

    Narcissus.

.

History repeats itself

    In two eggs—

.

Beauty

    Is the Trojan horse.
