Uninvited sorrow knocks on the door,

A guest unwelcome, yet it enters in.

No warning given, no time to implore,

Unpredicted grief, where do I begin?

The heart, once light, now burdened with pain,

Tears flow freely, like a river unbound.

In the depths of loss, there's so much to explain,

Memories linger, a cruel, haunting wraith,

Mocking the joy that once filled each day.
