Unexpected Love
When someone unexpectedly changes your life
Sometimes the best of things come when you stop looking
When you stop trying patience fills your soul.
Good things come to those who wait
A proverb.
A piece of wisdom.
A way to live your life.
I never expected to find someone I'd love
I thought for sure they'd all just fade away
But when I woke up and looked at my phone
This crazy thing happened as you seemed to appear.
The most beautiful thing in life
The notification of a reply.
The unexpected thing and the feeling of being wanted
Wanted by you.
Someone wanted me and the feeling was unfathomable
Unimaginable.
Lovable am I.
You made me feel again and again.

When the Robots Took My Job
This is for RM Stockton's Write Club prompt for the month of April: AI Please allow me to vent. For "college," I went to a scam school that is now closed. We were promised internships that were never spoken of again after admissions, and we were promised help finding jobs. The first time I went to the career counselor's office, she was completely frazzled. She had no idea what to do with us, the film majors. The second time I visited her office, I let her know that I'd found myself a job, and she was visibly relieved.
