A Poem

Take me back to when the tears weren't falling down my face every day,

when my body wasn't shaking at 6:45am every morning,

when my mind was sound and silent.

Take me back to when I was sure of myself,

when I knew what I was made for,

when my heart and mind beat to the same drum.

Undo this mess I'm in

the constant banging in my head,

"Get out, get out, get out!"

the ringing in my body, the shaking, the fear,

let me undo it all

and disappear.
