Underneath The Green Light

A poem

There's you and me.

Underneath the green light.

A black glow that we have come to tow.

This bottled fury casts my spirit into glass,

Warms my one last lifting chance in the world.

I try to fall in love with my acid sweet mask

But the ugly things behind it consume.

While swallowed up in grace, sharp and seething master trash,

My greatest glory greatest lie, and greatest doom.

I need you with me through the lark - my loving dark.

In the lowest heavens, jumping sun to fallen star

Shaping into any form that binds you, binds my broken heart!

I hear the pounding in my own green heart!
