The Intrepid Four Go Camping

Four went camping in the woods

Just like the Famous Five,

Everything was packed up ready,

In order to survive.

One evening the Famous Four reckoned

They would go for an evening walk,

A chance to unwind from busy lives

Time to relax and talk.

So off they set that evening

About 8 o'clock or so,

They didn't really tell us,

Where they were going to go.

So with dogs on leads off they went,

These intrepid four,

About to take a walking route

They'd not done before.

All was well at first it seems,

They still had lots of light,

But as they wandered the countryside

Day fell into night.

Only a head torch and a phone,

With which to light their path

These intrepid four campers

Were not about to laugh!

Uncle Gadget then produced,

A GPS to track;

Which was the best route to take

In order to get back.

Climbing walls and country stiles

In the still of night,

They very soon became aware

Of their risky plight!

One of the four then began to wheeze,

As panic took a hold;

Even the dogs now on their leads

Were not feeling quite as bold!

Now Uncle Gadget of quick mind,

Got back in the zone;

He had a gadget they could use

To find their way back home.

Out of rucksack, he then pulled

Something to take flight;

Fitted with special cameras

It could see into the night.

Uncle Gadget fired it up,

The drone it gave a blast;

As it lifted up into the sky

Away from land and grass.

Watching signal closely,

The drone flew overhead;

Taking the intrepid four

Right back home to bed!

Good old Uncle Gadget!

He always has a tool,

To get you out of trouble

Even if you're fools!

The intrepid four bade goodnight,

And each in their own way

Decided night walks weren't for them

They better stick to day.
