Two Roads Tonight

lyric

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 24 days ago 1 min read

[Verse 1
I hide my wedding ring in the drawer by our bed
And I hate how my betrayal burns from the lies I have said
One lover's hands helped build my life
While the other lover's hands hold the truth I deny
So I ask... Which kind of pain can I live with
When I must choose between them both tonight?

(chorus)
Two roads tonight, two roads tonight
Do I Hold my wife’s hands or do i watch my destiny die
Two roads tonight, two roads tonight
One holds my history, one gives meaning to my life
Two roads tonight, two roads tonight

[Verse 3]
I've laughed with my wife  in  sunday's sunshine
While remembering how the same sun lit up the other one's eyes
I'm addicted to the passion burning deep  inside
I'm addicted to the wreckage  I designed
So I ask... Which kind of pain can I live with
When I must choose between them both tonight?

[Bridge]
If I stay... I lose myself
If i go... I lose my home
If I speak... I break them both
If I hide... I end up alone

[Chorus]
Two roads tonight, two roads tonight
Do I Hold my wife’s hands or do i watch my destiny die
Two roads tonight, two roads tonight
One holds my history, one gives meaning to my life
Two roads tonight, two roads tonight
Two roads tonight, two roads tonight
