Two Moon Junction

where temptations linger

At the two moon junction

entanglements of the thorny path

beat a crescendo

in my pulse

And the lush garden’s sweet banality

strikes nary a rhythm

in my heart

And the shadows

lure me forward

as Delilah snared Samson

with promise of passion

while the darkness

stretches on its taut leash

to caress my soul

And Fortuna seduces me

with hollow vows of splendor

but the voice

of the light

has a call

that only whispers

an invitation

and I stand

at the crossroads

tempted

surreal poetry
