Two Clear Flames

lyric

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 3 days ago • 1 min read

[Verse 1]
You drew a crown from borrowed steel
And called the bruise a way to heal
You learned his armor, learned his stance
Mistook the guarded heart for strength
[Pre-Chorus]
But power need not wear his face
And tenderness is not disgrace
[Chorus]
Come back to the wisdom in your body
The deep-rooted yes, the honest no
You were never made to mirror wounded power
Or disappear to make another whole
Let the feminine stand in her own truth
Let the masculine meet her eye
Not one above, not one erased
Two clear flames beneath one sky
[Verse 2]
A borrowed anger cannot mend
The split between the self and friend
No victory is freely won
By turning every heart to stone
[Pre-Chorus]
The sacred isn't rank or role
It's meeting whole, and soul to soul
[Chorus]
Come back to the wisdom in your body
The deep-rooted yes, the honest no
You were never made to mirror wounded power
Or disappear to make another whole
Let the feminine stand in her own truth
Let the masculine meet her eye
Not one above, not one erased
Two clear flames beneath one sky
[Bridge]
No need to shrink him to grow tall
No need to praise the old walls
Bring the wounded parts into the light
Let both be strong, let both be kind
[Final Chorus]
Come back to the wisdom in your body
The deep-rooted yes, the honest no
We can lay down every borrowed weapon
And build a life where both can grow
Let the feminine stand in her own truth
Let the masculine meet her eye
Not one above, not one erased
Two clear flames beneath one sky
[Outro]
Whole in your own name
Whole beside another
