Introduction

This was inspired by the poem "Twas The Night Before Christmas", my Muse, her daughter and their cats. It is meant to be lighthearted and I hope you all enjoy it.

Music is "Love Cats" by The Cure

πŸŽ„πŸ˜ΈπŸŽ…πŸ¦ŒπŸ›·πŸŽπŸ¦ŒπŸ˜ΈπŸŽ…πŸŽ„

It was Christmas Night In Cherri and Autumn’s house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

Boo, Sasha, and Scratch were sat waiting on the chair,

They had eaten the mice, and now just sat and glared

πŸŽ„πŸ˜ΈπŸŽ…πŸ¦Œ

They now wanted rewarding with catnip and toys

And some salmon and turkey for dinner my boys

Cherri is their mama and she will serve them so well

They think that they own her, they can jingle their bells

πŸ¦ŒπŸ˜ΈπŸŽ…πŸŽ„

Although it is Christmas, you know cats don’t care

They just want you to serve them, or you get the glare

They see birds out the window as something to eat

When you open a can there’s the patter of feet

πŸ¦ŒπŸ˜ΈπŸŽ…πŸŽ„

You are waiting for Santa, on this Christmas Eve

Your cats are waiting for you, they’re eying the tree

They’re jealous because of your opposable thumbs

They are sitting and waiting for their day to come

πŸŽ„πŸ˜ΈπŸŽ…πŸ¦Œ

You know, really they love you, they cuddle and purr

Boo, Sasha, and Scratch with both of you on your chair

All waiting for Santa to come with his reindeer

A perfect Christmas Day for everyone here
